  • 4/27 6:53 am - Cute premise for the commercial. Good use of b/w vs. color to help show the difference - same with music. Show us the 5-Star folder or binder a little sooner than the end graphic.
  • 3/6 7:27 pm - Creative concept for the commercial, I like the black and white into color concept. The distraction is that there are some awkward shots in the video, and those take away from what you are trying to sell. When you narrator asks a question you put up a red X, that tends to me wrong. If that is the case then it appears that the narrator is wrong about the questions they are asking. I would also suggest to remove the transitions in this video. They are over the top and become too distracting to the viewer. Also, because of these there are a couple of strange edits. I like how you sell the product, and show the features and benefits of the new folder, just try to remove some of the over the top features of the commercial.
  • 3/5 6:03 am - Liked the Black and White to color effect. I liked how you bring your audiences in by asking them questions however the answer to all of your questions should all be yes but you put the red x and the buzz sound which would imply a “no” answer so it seemed a bit confusing. Your camera work needs to be more diverse it seemed the majority of it was shot with those wide cover shot angles, give your audience a variety of shots (close ups of what is important) For example when you throw the papers in the air, cut to a camera shot from the floor looking up as the papers come down. Also it seemed many of your shots were shot from a high angle, not sure if that was intentional, or a lack of planning. I don’t want to sound insulting but my students weren’t sure if you were going for the cheesy bad acting look or not which made it hard to take the message seriously and credible when the actor seems so light hearted.
