  • 4/27 5:24 pm - Good hand-held camera work. Good shot composition. Editing and choice of music work well together.
  • 3/22 7:44 am - The shaky camera shots don’t take away from the storyline at all, if anything they pull you in into thinking you’re running alongside. The various different angles shown was very well done, and highlight the severity of the story.
  • 3/8 10:04 am - The camera work and editing are the strongest parts of this trailer. The sound design was a bit sparse in places, which took away from the storytelling. The story itself was not compelling on account of the squirt guns (I know MMEA has a weapons policy, but maybe you could have shot this piece in a way that implied the characters had weapons but never actually show them) but the payoff at the end was humorous.

Positives: Action sequences were well-shot. Editing and soundtrack set a kinetic, energizing pace – EXCELLENT.

Improvements: Narrative was a bit unclear, which can work in some cases, but the emphasis of this trailer was clearly put on the action sequences – it had low stakes because of a lack of story/character. The 'stinger' at the end of the piece would have landed if it had some connection to a piece of information that was teased earlier in the piece.

Positives: Great edit and song selection. Overall production value is very impressive!

Improvements: The only critique I can give for this is that it kind of feels like an inside joke that I don't really understand. Probably would be funnier if I did.
