Entry Description
Inspired by my love of the shoes, I created a commercial project and of course I chose to do it on the shoe brand Vans. This short 30 second commercial it a series of quick shots, upbeat music, and slick editing to create an entertaining commercial. I wanted to show that not only are these shoes a perfect fit for skating but also every day activity and just having fun in them.

Positives: 1. Liked the pace of the music & visuals 2. Nice lifestyle and use of the shoes with good camera angles
Improvements: 1. Establishing shot was missing - i liked that we started on the shoe but it took mea moment realize was this a skate park or a kids park 2. Not much of a story line more lifestyle moments for the shoe, since this is only lifestyle a tag line "Vans good for all uses" would have been helpful

Positives: There are some great close up shots of the shoes - nice camera work. Like the overall energy and feel.
Improvements: It would have been nice to also include some shots that are of people's faces - and a few less close ups of shoes. Love the heart graphic of shoes - really nice. Be aware of any controversial lyrics when choosing songs for brands.
