3/27 9:29 pm - Excellent job by the play-by-play and color announcers. Don't understand using cross dissolves in cutting from shot to shot, confusing and distracting to watch. Also main camera up top appears to be not balanced. When player in green was arguing with the ref a camera was right in front of them and not taken until the ball was in-bounded.
3/7 10:52 am - Great enthusiasm from the announcers! It was also evident that they understood the game, as they painted a very nice picture of what was taking place on the court. The framing of camera shots was not the strongest. The key with basketball is to always have the ball in the shot, especially when the ball is in play. There were a few times where it wasn’t seen during play. One under-the-basket shot needed a bit more headroom - almost cut off the top of the player's head. A couple of times, at both ends of the court, the shot was cut off and we could not see the player who was standing just out of bounds ready to throw in the ball. Again, need to be sure the ball is being seen at all times. Never know what could happen as that player is trying to inbounds the ball during a game. From :15 until the ball is inbounded at :32 it was hard to know what was going on - switch to a camera shot of the ref indicating what the foul call was, show the player who committed the foul, show the player out of bounds who will be inbounding the ball. The shot that was shown during that 17 seconds didn’t tell much of a story. Also, I would strongly suggest cutting between your shots instead of dissolves. Basketball is a fast-paced sport and cuts are what are more efficient.
