Entry Description

RBeats is an educational music variety show created by a team of student producers at RBHS. Currently, the show is airing on Chicago broadcast television through JBTV. This entry is only an excerpt of one of four twenty-eight minute long episodes. Each episode informs viewers on guitar anatomy and maintenance, profiles a Chicago street performer, provides the basics of jazz and vocals, presents a comedic marching band, and shows musical performances by bands previously featured on RBTV, and is pieced together by a variety of humorous segues.

• 4/12 8:35 am - The three openings were creative and entertaining but was confused as to why there were 3 openings to the show. The b roll showed a diverse range of shots and creatively introduced the program. The second opening score over powered the dialogue making it difficult to understand. Cuts during the guitar demo was well paced. The only issue with the video was the adult host. According to the category description the show must be hosted by a student.
• 3/6 6:52 am - Music bed a bit loud under couple on couch. Good transition and intro elements—capturing energy of music with editing. Nice use of cut-ins of guitar parts. Clear information.
