Riverside Brookfield takes on Chicago Christian Academy in Boys’ Varsity Baksteball
Positives: The graphics were very pleasing. Play by play was excellent!
Improvements: Position hand held under basket for more straight on during free throws. Allow for more space in camera shots when teams are spreading the floor. Careful with bench/reaction/cutaways. Replay.
Positives: Good audio and decent video quality.
Improvements: Minor issue, but well-worth mentioning... the "RBTV" bug appeared double in the lower right in the first few seconds of the clip. Not a huge deal, but something easily fixed. Play by play seemed a bit confused going into halftime. Adding a baseline camera will go a long way to improving your content and making it more visually interesting.
Positives: Free throws were shot and switched pretty well. You could always switch prior to the shot, but I think overall it was done well. The action was followed quite well.
Improvements: Some improvements for the talent would be to slow down a little bit. Since it is a visual medium, you do not need to explain every dribble and every pass as you do radio. Also, while getting in the sponsor read is always important, it seems that was rushed too. There was a lot that happened at the end of the half, so it would have been nice to hear about that back-and-forth first. The Director did not get the CG in for the sponsor until after the read either, so they were definitely not in concert there. As for the Directing, it was pretty good until the final heave when we took a shot of the bench. We definitely just need to stay on the wide there to see what happens. Do not be afraid to stay on that wide shot. Audio was good for the most part, but after the steal the nat/camera mic picked up fans yelling. That being said, it could have been the announcers mic, so I didn't grade for that.
