  • 3/15 3:04 pm - Great footage, variety of shots and solid composition. Strong story. Graphics too short and hard to read. Color correction needed, looked too washed out. Great audio edit. Great edit using interview and b roll to give us the information.
  • 3/7 11:34 am - Just one voice told most of your story. Good b-roll, you brought in the comments of participants to add excitement. Multiple ages were seen being involved. Good natural sound. Overall a nicely told story that might attract volunteers to a positive community activity.
  • 3/1 3:39 pm - There is some distorted audio from the subject. You need to have some other voices from the people who are out there, not just one person. You do not tell the whole story if you just hear one perspective. great natural sound from the cutting down of trees, and the people talking as they work.

Positives: This was a great topic for a nats/pkg. You had a great variety of different sounds. The story made complete sense. All my questions were answered. This piece really did the best at incorporating nats full and sots. You seem to truly understand what a nats/pkg means.

Improvements: Some of the nats full felt too short. Its okay to let some of those play out a little longer. While you did well at using a lot of video, all your shots were really quick. I would mix a few longer shots in there so its not so jarring on the eyes. I would have liked to hear from one of the volunteers to add variety.

Improvements: It would have been nice to hear from one of the the volunteers.

Positives: The interviews and supporting video told a compelling and educational story. Great use of matching video with interviews and taking time for the nat sound to tell the story. Hearing the interview address the good times they have on the project then connecting that with the smiling volunteers was an especially winning moment. This is clearly a piece put together by someone who understands how ambient sound can tell an engaging story.

Improvements: I might have switched around the first two bites for clarity. Shooting could have been more creative, especially considering the beauty in the woods. I wanted to see a wide shot of everyone working together.
