- 4/27 6:54 am - Nice concept for the commercial. If this were my commercial, I would have asked the actors to make a little more of a big deal out of the fact that the student was shaking his calculator. Just needed better reactions to this strange action on their faces. Otherwise, good use of music, sound effects, nice camera work and nice editing with the quick changes to the items turning into M&Ms.
- 3/6 7:58 pm - Great commercial!! The shots move well, the edits are clean and are not distracting and I really like the tag line in this video. One thing to focus on is the directing of this video. When directing make sure that you get the reaction shots that will make your commercial even more authentic. the only real issue I have is the lighting in the commercial. I wish that the back corner was not so dark because it become a distraction. Try to add light to the background.
- 3/5 6:32 am - Great concept, I don’t know if it original or something similar to what you have seen before but either way you implemented it really well. You had a great mix with the music and the sound effects I was totally drawn in.
The only thing I might have worked at were your classmates reactions near the end, they should have been more intentional / convincing to alert your audience that something is wrong with the M&M kid. Make the onlookers close ups (so I know what to look at) to peek my curiosity as to what they are actually seeing. Because it is easy to get caught up in the M&M kids reality of seeing M&Ms everywhere, I needed a stronger scene or two to get me back to the reality of what everyone else is seeing. I enjoyed it great job, great implementation, and Claire (from my class) thought the M&M kid was cute.

Positives: 1. great use of animation and editing
2. Great storytelling - very easy to follow and understand
Improvements: 1. You start to hear people in the background say "what the?" would have been better to hear everyone's reaction ie. "what? what are you doing?" or no reaction...it seems like it was half way - next time commit or mute the background noise.
2. Keep the establishing shot of the desk a bit longer - didn't realize what the first line of m&ms was replacing until I went back and saw it was a pen.

Positives: Really solid concept. Well thought through and executed!
The editing of the desk pieces becoming M&M's was REALLY GOOD...well done on that scene!
The sound effects were good with the camera moves on the desk.
This was a fun idea.
Improvements: A bit abrupt on the ending with sound/VO. Could have benefited from a little bit of music or at least some tone beyond the scary sound effect...
Clock sound effect a bit much--that was a grandfather clock sound. A clock ticking would've worked just great.
Little continuity issue with the M&Ms on the desk once the angle reverses and you're eating the M&Ms...something to always pay attention to as you film multiple angles and takes.
I think I'd add "SO GOOD" to your final screen...
Audio in general...sneak your audio in when using on-camera audio...otherwise it's kind of an abrupt audio addition to your soundtrack. Marry the audio together a bit more.
