  • 3/27 10:23 pm - Good job of storytelling. Enjoyed how you shot Jesse looking at the camera, telling us her story. Technically strong but wish you had more footage of her outside of that one video. Her voice is a little low but their is a compelling story here.
  • 3/6 9:46 pm - Great idea to showcase a great, promising musician through sharing her story, but we need to see and hear more. All of the jump cuts with the audio transitions were really distracting and makes the audience wonder what she was going to say before you cut it. The skyline shot is beautifully composed, but the audio sounds compressed. More candid shots of her playing either at school, home or somewhere authentic would really help show rather than just tell her story. I would encourage you to keep working on this. The parent interview angle is really awkward and unflattering.

Positives: Great story - Nice use of Nat sound and continuing that under interviews- watch your mix levels.

Improvements: Sound in the opening interview set the tone of the lack of production value. Try adjusting mic placement or using a LAV. Shooting outside served no purpose in my eyes and it cost you audio quality. A few of the edits were a bit rough and the audio did not help.

Positives: The story and editing were well done.

Improvements: The audio on her singing should come up in volume when she is on camera. The white balance seemed off at times.
