- 3/6 8:18 pm - Solid opening to the show- well edited to the beat. Boy anchor is a bit dry- needs to add a little something to his excitement and voice. News package- people being interviewed should never be holding their own mic. Zombie package had a few awkward pauses where nothing was being said. Try to fill those spots by eliminating dead spots in editing. Orchestra segment- reporter sounds too formal, almost like a game show announcer. Choir segment was informational and well voiced-over. Could use more variety in the shots though- get close for some close up shots! Interviewees again holding the mic- combat that by getting a close up shot instead of such a long shot. Good attempt at some humor by the female anchor- the boy's monotone voice and no facial reactions kinda ruined it. Might want to consider some graphics with the anchors- then you can put the anchors in rule of thirds and add some pizazz to the look of the tricaster set. Ending energy- where was that all show?! Overall, a solid news program with a lot of informative segments. Just try to liven things up a bit and work on some small technical things within your segments.
- 3/3 12:54 pm - Good opening. The way you've edited the video with the editing works well together. Anchors, whenever possible, consider professional dress. Keep your focus on the camera, each other. Work on timing and transitions between the both of you. Female anchor has some good energy. Some good broll of zombie run. Halloween orchestra concert reports has a good reporting voice. Good broll and natural audio. I would suggest not having your subjects hold the microphone. It seemed like this segment just kind of ended. Good opening to choir concert segment. Again, good broll and natural audio. It seems like much of the footage was captured from the same location...the left hand side of the auditorium. Move your camera around and get some different shots. SAGE segment was interesting and had some good info presented by moderator. Background audio a little too loud at times. Great broll for the collor run. I kept wanting to spit the colored power out of my mouth as I watched it. Some great footage. Again, I wouldn't allow subject interviews to hold the mic. Hold it for them. Mannequin challenge as well conceived and executed. Some great things happening in this show.
- 2/25 12:48 pm - Nice opening - music and video is very catching! Love the Zombie-run story - great idea from the CC team for a fundraiser. Good b-roll from the race itself. If this were my story, I would have interviewed a coach to find out more about the fundraiser - what exactly is it for and what will they do with the funds. Good transition from band story to the choir story. Nice use of the natural audio in the choir story. When talking about that teacher playing the guitar, a tight shot of that teacher would have been a nice touch (saw him in the wide shot, but a tight shot would have helped the viewer to more easily identify who he was). SAGE story - the natural audio was good, but a little too loud. Make sure that it doesn't overtake the story and distract from what is being said. Good job on the Color Run story. Nice ending with the mannequin story - what that class did was very impressive! Overall, a strong show. The transitions between stories were very strong and well-written. All of the stories were solid (just a few very minor things in each that I would change if they were my stories). Good job by the anchors - good on-camera presence and their personalities came through too.

Improvements: When you're tossing to packages, you should say the reporters name It would've been nice to see the reporters do some standups in their pieces

Positives: Open montage, very good. Excellent story choice to start. Good energy from anchors.
Improvements: Energy is important and it has to come from all walks of the newscast, including reporters. Don't over think your shots.
