This is our school's newscast program. The show was 30 minutes but this is the first ten minutes.
Positives: I liked your intro and how you teased what was upcoming...I would maybe have some sort of graphic come up before we see you, to grab attention and make sure people are listening. I really enjoyed your interviews during the prom segment but that room was so loud - always be aware of ambient noise. In the Aida segment, I liked seeing photos of the actress, but if they weren't depicting something she was talking about, you should see her interview again. Also, the sound was really off in this piece.
Improvements: The anchors should watch their prompter reads - try to make it feel a little more conversational. For the Aida piece, I think you need music under it - it helps with pacing and energy. This is actually for all of your pieces, you need music. If not throughout, at least in and out of the piece. If you can, try to mix your audio. The VOs are always robust, but the field footage is super quiet and you can tell (by the buzzing) that the mic was as loud as it could get. For the furniture pilot, I don't think you should have interviewed the teacher in profile - OR if you are, make sure you have a second camera that has another angle.
Positives: good montage open. Good writing. Solid anchor work, energy and direction from behind the camera could help.
Improvements: Don't start Tease with technology, start with prom and girls sports! Sell your newscast. The art of the tease. No fonts. What's your story about?
