Our 7 day challenge. A boy witnesses his father's murder and gets placed in Witness Protection! But the killer has found him!

Judge 1

Positives: The camera distortion on the first scene worked really well to help us understand that this is a flashback. Even though we aren't sure whose POV we are in, it really makes us feel like we are in the room as this is happening. Having the actual cops there at the end of the piece really helped to sell the film and make this feel as realistic as possible. It shows that you went the extra mile.

Improvements: There could have been a bit more explanation as to who the guy in the purple is - does he work at the school? How did he know who Kyle was? And how did Kyle know that he was a bad guy? This was all left a little to unclear and therefore a lot of the stuff that followed felt unmotivated or unwarranted. A little more clarification would have helped. The climax felt like it fell a little flat. There was quite a lot of build up, but then it ends so suddenly, and we don't really get too much of a reaction from Kyle or from the cop - nor do we find out any more information about who this guy was or how he found Kyle.
