  • 4/27 5:20 pm - Good use of voice-over to set up the trailer. I liked the underwater shots. Good shot composition and lighting. Good use of the mixture of dialogue and voice-overs throughout the trailer.
  • 3/22 7:43 am - The editing transitions between each new shot adds to the dramatization throughout. It builds the storyline up, just as the background music does. Dialogue and music are even throughout, and add onto the mood.
  • 3/6 2:39 pm - Compelling storytelling, good use of off-screen dialogue to drive informational reveal. Title design and music choices were very clean and the editing built to a strong climax. The sound qualities were a little uneven between the different dialogue sources. The camera compositions were fair, but generally too wide for the emotion the characters were trying to convey. Do not be afraid of the close up. Overall a very strong piece.

Positives: Excellent editing and light/camera that captures the correct mood and pacing of trailer for this genre. Effective soundtrack choices, and use of GFX cards. Good performances, and intriguing premise. Above all, the subtlety and emotion of this piece was very impressive. Well done!

Improvements: Quality of audio production was slightly rough during some sequences.

Judge 2

Positives: Great production value and use of editing!

Improvements: In the sound editing, it would work stronger if there was a way to minimize the room tone and have the music break through a bit more under.
