The Glenbrook South Report: Glenbrook South's premiere source for the Friday Morning Announcements
Positives: I loved the opening - lots of exciting footage to draw in viewers - but the transition music was abrupt. Great job covering the interviews about the band director - good use of footage and photos. Loved the music choice - it set the mood. In the piece about the jazz singer, I loved that opening shot, but I thought it was going to go somewhere else - it seemed like a meaningful shot, and then you cut to the interview...seemed a little abrupt. In general, you guys do a great job of covering interviews with footage, etc. I really enjoyed the variety of stories - great job with human interest, informational, etc. The studio felt a little dark - and when you do the one shot of each anchor, I'd have them facing the other direction, so it's a smooth transition from the two shot, to the one.
Improvements: The music over the initial announcements was sleepy and felt like it didn't fit. The Duca Dynasty - the subjects were slouchy in their chairs - make sure you're taking a look at the shot before you start the interview.
Positives: Enjoyed the opening montage. Establishes energy and presence. Spencer has tremendous mannerisms and could work in Market 150 right now.
Improvements: Lighting is very good, but the set background is dark, makes for an awkward two-shot. Carefully with music audio underlaying the soundbytes. Too high.
