This is the cinematography reel of Ziming Xie, including footage from my travel, and events, short films I shot over the past year.

• 4/25 6:23 am - great composition of city shots because they were shot in natural light
• 3/7 7:35 am - Very stunning imagery throughout. Great moments were captured, both in the composed narrative frames and the documentary shots. The balance of the shots, both in composition and contrast made each frame very compelling to the viewer. The sheer amount of close ups brings strength to the work and separates the piece from the pack.

Judge 1

Positives: Good variety of composition, content, and movement. Cutting to the beat was very precise.

Improvements: Song choice is questionable. Syncopation is effective, but needs to slow down some times to give audience time to take in the visuals.

Judge 2

Positives: Flow of the video was nice and the transitions with the music worked well.

Improvements: Very nice reel but the biggest complaint I would have is that you ended on such a rough pan of the city. You got to make sure that is smooth.
