- 4/9 2:30 pm - Nice opening shots. Holding back on focus was nice in the 3rd shot, though I didn’t quite have enough time to ID the image. Nice varying of interview locations, all well lit. Pacing of B-roll was good, both in the tracking within the shots and the editing.

Positives: Really nice job! This piece made me want to take my entire family to the planetarium—(and I actually did go to the planetarium the weekend after viewing this piece) so it did exactly what it was supposed to. Your interviews worked very well to convey information and set the tone of the piece. Very nicely composed, well-list shots, and nice use of multicam. You had some really excellent visuals; your camera work and editing worked together so well to paint an intriguing picture of what Adler’s all about. Your creative montages were fun and served as great segues from section to section.
Improvements: I think it would’ve been nice to include some voices from the museum attendees. You’ve got these museum professionals talking about the attendees throughout the entire piece, but we never actually hear from them… and I miss hearing their perspective. In general, I think this could have easily been between at least a minute shorter and still have conveyed the same message. Your interviews from Sarah Cole and Larry Ciupik especially tended to go on for quite a while… so editing those down and making this piece a bit punchier would have benefitted the piece.

Positives: The cinematography and editing are excellent.
Improvements: There were several shots in which the white balance was off, these should be color corrected. There were a couple points where the interviews could be clipped at the beginning or end, such as when someone begins with : "well".
