• 4/25 1:05 pm - Pros - Very strong story here. It draws the viewer in because you did a good job laying out the premise, introducing the main character and his major conflict. The camera work is generally strong and the plethora of closeups helps the viewer empathize with the characters and events onscreen. It also made the trailer look very cinematic. Cons - The editing is where this trailer tends to fall short. It is too reliant on the music track, makig for an uncomfortably slow pace and periods of prolonged black screens, leaving the viewer feeling awkward and unfocused on the story. The sound levels need to be balanced better, especially the dialogue that takes place in the bathroom and the sound effect whe the main character 'hits' the mirror (in all honesty, there's probably a more production-friendly place than the bathroom). Watch the focus on some of your shots.
• 3/9 1:16 pm - So motivational! Love the variety of shots from the main actor alone in bathroom, to shots of people in the gym making fun of him. I really liked it and thought it was motivational- however, we need a little something more to feel like we HAVE to see the whole movie.

Judge 1

Positives: The voice over and quick cuts were PERFECT! Good choice for a lead actor. Also, perfect show the beginning scene.

Improvements: The ending was a little too quick, maybe give more a transition before ending. Remove the titles and text, spend more time on shots.

Judge 2

Positives: Inspiring premise! Well shot and cut overall, and the intensity of the performances matches the intensity of the narrative.

Improvements: Each element of production can be fine-tuned, particularly camera and lighting. Using one small, cheap cinema light in flat-lighting areas like the bathroom can help add more depth to the visual style. Also, sound recording could be improved when recording characters who are shouting.
