- 4/18 1:02 pm - You did an excellent job of demonstrating all of the steps involved with making dog treats without seeming too rushed. The VO narration was clear and detailed with happy background music. I like that the video told the story by showing the finished product at the beginning and end and all steps were numbered and easy to follow. The lighting seems consistent throughout the video. Couple minor suggestions-move the titles away from the edges of the frame and add a few extra shots at the end so it doesn't seem to end so abruptly. Overall great video!
- 3/12 11:15 am - Nice Intro. Maybe put the amounts of each ingredient in the graphics. Lighting/color issues. I like the “while you are waiting” steps—nice touch of humor and personal touch! Narration is clear—both script and recording. Music fits and is well balanced. Cute shots of dog!

- 3/9 5:57 pm - what works
nice opening (maybe go back go sad puppy with no treats); good ingredients list; good topic and concept idea; nice including what to do while baking; added 'store' treats good step; cutest star ever!
what could make it better
focus seemed off in several shots; include all materials needed, and where to buy/cost of ingredients vs. store treats; avoid fast motion; some light reflections; watch shot framing (out kitchen window at counter); random suggestion: shot of dog waiting impatiently at oven door for baking.
- 3/7 10:34 pm - Very unique demonstration show that has a lot of good production value. Your process was well written and clearly explained. The shots covered each step of your process thoroughly and the lighting and color grading were even and led to an attractive, clean overall look. Voice over was nicely delivered, equalized, and mixed. Your use of varied angles throughout the piece led to some memorable shots, particularly of the dog.
Some of your titling needed to be on screen longer, particularly when you listed your ingredients. I realize that the titles couldn't appear on screen longer than the shot they were overlaid upon, but perhaps you should have had them "pop" onto the screen rather than animate. This would keep them on screen for a few more frames and make them easier for audiences to read. I wanted to know a bit more about the ingredients chosen for the dog treats and how they relate to dog health. For example, why use the applesauce over oil or sugar? I'm assuming it's better for a dog's constitution, but it would have been nice to hear you speak to this a bit. Overall, great work!
Judge 1
Positives: Good use of graphics to help viewer. Well written script. I'm going to try it for my pup!
Improvements: Some shots were slightly out of focus. Lighting in a few places was dark and hard to see what was happening.

Positives: Good use of text with your individual steps (don't get it too close to the edge of the screen - keep it in title safe). Good choice of music to add a light feel to your video. Cute shots of your dog!
Improvements: Add a drop shadow to your text anytime it's over a background or video. At least one of the ingredient shots was soft in focus.

Positives: The camera angles were excellent. I especially liked the shots of the cute dog in the beginning. The sped up footage works well and adds an element of humor. The music supports the upbeat spirit you have set with the entire project.
Improvements: The hand held camera was effective during the intro where you were showing your dog. Once you start the demo make sure the camera is on a tripod. If you are editing with Premiere Pro it is possible to stabilize your footage through the software. Some of the text is too close to the edge of the frame. Look at where you positioned "Step 6" for a good position. There is a little breathing room on the left. Some methods of project will cut off 10-15% of the entire frame.
