• 4/25 9:55 am - Opening voice-over sounds tinny. Kids provided fun atmosphere to the interviews and story. Try to avoid your interviewee from making eye contact with the camera. Not sure if I am a fan of the Viking helmet on the lower-thirds. Framing on Mr. Cicero and Jermiare is off.
• 3/12 8:48 pm - I thought this was a strong package with strong elements and great storytelling. I think you chose video that matched your narration and it progressed well. The nat open worked and it was smart to lead with the kids interviews. You hit all angles getting kids, principal, coach and players. Your voice did sound a little flat in the narration, but that might have just been how it was recorded. The interviews were all looking directly into the camera. Traditionally they would be looking just off camera in a news package. Bottom line, you took a good story and told it well.
• 3/2 10:21 am - Nice start with NAT sound; Don't use unmotivated zooms or pans - only move with the action; nicely framed interviews; variety of interviews; photo montage is a nice touch; b-roll is all wide shots - use more sequencing with a variety of shots.

Positives: Very good package. Well written. Beginning middle and end of the story was told. A great topic. Good work. Production skills were obvious thus the package looked very professional.

Improvements: Maybe we could've heard a little more from the football players.

Positives: great read of the script!!! love the broll, love the music. very energetic piece really cute sound pops with the kids. great mix of interviews. the way you visually shared the piece and interviewed people really emotionally connected with the viewer while giving information about the program. you have a great vibe!

Improvements: have your interviews look slightly off camera

Positives: Fun montage off top with music -- just be careful how long you use the music! Felt a bit too much after initial montage. Nice tracking voice -- really natural and clear, and very conversational. Nice job!

Improvements: No nats under the vids which was really missed -- need to hear the kids and action under your track. (great use of nat pop off the top) Also, when your subjects are interviewed, make sure they aren’t looking into camera When you mention coach, we should see him in b-roll – did he go to the event?
