The opening of Neuqua Valley's Variety show. This video was created during the course of one week to highlight the talent and crew of the show.

Judge 1

Positives: Editing - Pace was commensurate with music. Astute cut with the sound console faders with the beat. Well-chosen images in the open before the music settles in. Story - I know this is mostly a highlight reel, but filling the beginning with setup and prep for the show goes a long way toward selling the idea of participation and involvement. Camera - exposed properly considering the various lights on stage. Low-light shots were allowed to remain dark - not stopped up too much. This maintains the look. It's tempting to get the focal point of shots at similar IRE, but that can be a trap. The trap was largely avoided here.

Improvements: Editing - Even with appropriate pacing, the cuts slip away from the beat. Cuts could stay on the beats more consistently to bring the whole composition together. Editing - The shots of plugging cables in during the meat of the video seems out of place.
