  • 3/9 7:34 am - Good content: news, sports, and lighter stories. Talent dressed professional. Good audio. packages done well. Female anchor seems nervous. You can tell she is bouncing her leg. The anchors quickly said their names, but would be nice to have a lower third of them the first time they are on the screen solo. News footage in PR piece not cited. Other citations go over interviews. Custodians over the shoulder up instead of basketball. Overall, well produced show.
  • 3/8 11:24 am - This is a nice, "clean" show. Good edits, transitions. Anchors have nice personalities, professionally dressed. Try to prevent eyes from shifting (6:11). Interesting set concept with moving images behind anchors, OTS popping up in front. Segments move from "more serious" to lighter packages as the show moves on. Always give credit to footage that is not yours (David Muir/ABC News). I think it would be good to see some "stand-up" work. I believe all segments featured VOs or are natty packs. Credits at the end? Overall, nice work and interesting show.

Positives: I like that you featured the custodians! These are people you see all the time but never get to know. I felt like you thought outside of the box on some of your pieces. These aren't the typical stories i've seen in other high school newscasts.

Improvements: Story about the girl with the health issue - small thing, but I would've shot the dad so you couldn't see the mess on the counter behind him. As a viewer, I found it distracting. I also noticed the mom and student wearing gear that said "all hands in." Was that an organization that supports the disease she suffers from? Why did you choose this story as the lead, It felt like more of a feature. Puerto Rico - the World News nats were too long on the top of the piece.

Positives: Well produced, written and edited packages within the show. Impressive Camera Work. Audio well done.

Improvements: Studio segments could use additional lighting. Audio levels at some points varied too much...some too lower and then parts jumped up too high. Needs more consistency.
