  • 4/24 5:36 pm - Artist does a good job designing a situation that we can all empathize with, and how the product can be the solution.
  • 4/20 10:08 am - I really enjoyed the transitions from putting the headphones on and off. It was very well executed to demonstrate him escaping the distractions in the room. Your have a good concept here and did a great job of telling the story in the traditional 0.30 commercial time. The audio sounded a bit hollow in the beginning and the lighting/color was a little dull. Vibrant colors might have made the room seem "busier" for him to need to escape from.
  • 3/8 6:52 pm - SOUND Considering this is a headphone commercial I think you used sound well to help tell your story. You found a way to get your audience to connect with the annoying people, the general backround noise and the canceling effect of putting the headphones on. STORY Short and simple but effective and relatable. Good job. CAMERA/VISUALS As simple as your story was I didn’t feel like I was always looking at the same shot even though I basically was. You broke it up with close ups and cutaways to make it flow. One improvement might have been a more intentional shot when he pulls his headphones out and sets them on the table – because you play with your phone, that pulls the focus off of the headphones. EDITING Great pace and flow, I would have liked to hear more of the “ noise” when he pulls them off briefly at the end. You did a good job with the music change, but the ambient noise of the talking and annoyances in the room would have made it look even more genuine.
  • 3/8 10:08 am - Watch your use of color value and light. Is it consistent? Is this what you want to communicate? You have some nice editing with close ups, but could you have expanded some of your shots to be longer and tell a longer story? Though your story was short, I think most of us can really relate!
