• 4/10 10:34 am - Great bit. This was a lot of fun and definitely nailed the balance of calm audio with overly dramatic scenes. The teachers were definitely committed to the task. Moving forward, while this is a commercial, I would extent the joke a bit so the audience knows what “First Friday’s” is, or whatever the punchline you’re going for is. Jokes are all about timing and while there’s a build-up here, the punchline gets lost a bit in not knowing what First Friday’s is.

Judge 1

Positives: The narration and music were very fitting. The time lapse was a nice touch.

Improvements: Some pretty dark shots at times.

Judge 2

Positives: I really felt the voice casting for the narration was great. I loved the music, the editing -- very, very strop open. Also, really enjoyed the humor in the contrast between the copy and the visuals. Very, very nice production value!

Improvements: I was all in on this one from the very beginning but the ending just didn't land for me. I wanted more of a pay off. Now maybe that's because i'm a middle aged man who can imagine that teachers probably do need time away from students and grading papers. ;) The pay-off was just a little too subtle for me.
