• 4/25 10:10 pm - Keepers: The talent was very cute and dynamic. A typical and loving "Mom." She did great. The cookie-making process itself was reasonably well explained and the work space was kept clean and organized throughout the demonstration. Improvements: The camera work was very shaky and there were a lot of long takes. Having insert shots done with a tripod as the ingredients were listed would have helped tremendously. Additional lighting for the countertop and cookies also would have helped. Some steps were not clearly explained. How is the dough actually made? Are all ingredients combined? You never ant to assume that your audience knows what to do when explaining process. Always assume they know nothing. Same thing with the decorating technique. How did she achieve such good striping with her sprinkles? What's her technique? These things would have given the piece more overall impact. The audio was not always well mixed and she could have done better with a dedicated lav mic to bring out her audio and to make it more consistent.
