  • 4/10 10:55 am - This is a great piece overall! I especially liked your interviews and the way you were able to both capture the interview but also the noise of the restaurant, allowing the viewer to hear the hustle and bustle and demonstrate that the place is thriving and busy. My only advice going forward would be to add some more of an intro to your intro, provide some context and information so we know what the shop is fighting for, where it’s located (Corner Streets), and maybe some background about the owner(s). Overall, great work!

Positives: Interesting topic. Well written script and good on air talent.

Improvements: What is needed a little more background on what exactly the store's mission is. It was hard to follow through the interviews. Lighting was dark and in some cases hard to see the person interviewed.

Positives: You have a really natural presence on camera. My only advice would be to slow down a little on your delivery! Great job of letting the interviews tell the story. I like the movement you put on your broll

Improvements: I would tighten up a few of the interviews to make a more concise story! would love to have seen a few more pieces of broll at the top when the owner was talking about her offerings

Positives: Liked conversational approach to the standup and tag. (encourage you to enunciate more -- I found a few words hard to understand) Great use of nats off the top (concerned I might have heard the reporter cheering on mic? Just watch that if true!) Nice use of vo over the soundbites.

Improvements: Shouldn’t have your interviewee hold their own mic -- reporter should hold, and you should instruct guest to look at reporter and not into camera. Name fonts way too difficult to read/see.
