You used the top camera appropriately and followed all the necessary action as well using the sideline and isolation cameras to show the bench and free throw shooting. You did miss the first foul shot though by going tight on the free throw shooter. Announcing is solid.
  • 3/6 9:13 am - (2:08) 13 seconds of one shot of the bench. Again, cut away to something else. You benefit from having multiple cameras. Use that to your advantage to tell the story.

  • 3/6 9:11 am - (1:38) Ten seconds on the shot of the bench, just sitting there. Cut away to something else sooner.

Positives: Changing up of camera angles was good. This is important because each change helps to lock in the viewer's interest. The announcers were also able to help maintain viewer interest.

Improvements: It's a bit picky to mention, but avoid long shots of the bench when there's essentially nothing happening there. Perhaps cutting to a wider shot before focusing in on the free throw shooter would work better. Also, the audio for the announcers felt a bit weak as they were sometimes competing with the ambient sound in the gym.

Positives: Don't know what resources were available for this clip. Camera angles were fine for a basketball game and direction was appropriate.

Improvements: Sounds like announcer was flying solo and its hard to do a broadcast solo. He sounded a bit confused at times and would have benefited from partner. Was there an on court, behind the basket camera? If so, would like to see more of those angles.
