This is a tutorial on how to rewire a BNC cable. The video is part of my original series, "The Robinson Shop", where I combine my loving of video with my other interests, including woodworking, welding, and automotive projects.
Positives: Great intro piece. Good close up work. Well written script. Lighting work well with demo.
Improvements: Narrator could speak a bit more slowly to help viewer fully understand each concept.
Positives: Great title. As an audience member, calling it "The Robinson Shop", I felt like I was in a place where there was an expert at work. The instructions made it seem like anyone could do this with the right tools. The music under the video was very good. Good clear lighting
Improvements: Please clean your fingernails. It was distracting.
Positives: Great open; this was a grabber that made me want to see the rest of your project. The shots were well composed. It was easy to see the things that you were detailing in a given shot.
Improvements: In your title "The Robinson Shop" either drop down the word "Shop" so the "h" doesn't overlap the serif of the "n" in Robinson or raise the word "Shop" up so there is more of an overlap so it looks intentional. (If you do that make sure your drop shadow is dark enough to separate the white from both words.) For the most part your lighting was good; but watch for continuity. The color of the hands varies. It is consistent about half the time. There were a couple of shots that were darker than others as well. Some of that can be corrected with the color correctors that come with the editing software. When this happens during a shoot on the same day with the same lighting the problem is more than likely caused by the automatic setting on the camera. The auto settings can usually be disabled. If you do that make sure you know how to manually adjust for the correct exposure and white balance.
