4/25 9:59 am - Strong opening voice-over to set the tone to the story. She’s talking about making the candy, but I am not seeing it. Broll of that process would’ve gone a long way. I was bored with Beth fairly quickly. I would’ve like to have heard from someone else or a chef. Also, would’ve like to hear from some patrons. If you’re going to say the place gets crowded, say it – show it!
3/12 9:06 pm - This immediately feels like a commercial for this candy company. I think the b-roll was good, although a few shots have a bit of shake to them even though they are on a tripod. First soundbite is very long and all she is basically saying is what people like to eat there. The second bite was also long and basically said how to make a caramel apple which I don't know furthers the package. Maybe show the process of making the candy as we saw just store shots of almost everything. It also just ends in the middle of a sentence.
3/2 10:33 am - Reporter track begins well - cute and catchy; nicely framed interviews; video matches track; this is more like a commercial for the store rather than on an issue; there's too much b-roll of just candy - perhaps use a sequence of a customer buying something or a worker making candy or stocking; story ends at 1:40 in the middle of a sentence.
