3/13 11:35 am - Nice spiral shot to introduce your character. Humorous approach to your song. Special effects are fun. Good job with changing your aspect ratio back to 80’s style. But, your pacing is too slow. You need to add some additional ideas to your primary concept more locations, more story lines or shorten your song. You did not need 4 minutes to tell the story you had developed.
3/7 2:30 pm - A fun video- nothing real serious, just a silly story about magical shoes and time warping. Overall, the story was easy to follow from beginning to end. You need to be careful in the acting, however. There are numerous times when the action just takes too long to happen. The pacing of the video is fast, but we see the guy snap his fingers, but it takes 10 seconds to do it. Then once he does it, the action should be moving faster to go along with the music. Even the chase scene- it does not look like either guy is really trying to run hard. Make your actors do the actions for real- if there's a chase- chase the guy! The realism will be appreciated by your viewer. Nice steady shot at the beginning during the first run- camera stayed very steady. Effects were cool- the portal was a cleaver idea. Wish you could have made it so the character jumped into it, or out of it. Instead, the portal appeared or vanished leaving the guy there. The video might have been strengthened by having a singer for the music video- otherwise you could easily say this was a silent film or dramatic narrative. Overall, it was a fun piece with some cool effects.
