  • 3/13 11:30 am - Good shot variety, considering you can't get out there on the ice; it also looks like you shot from more than one location, which creates more variety.
  • 3/13 11:29 am - Nice use of slow motion for dramatic effect, but careful that it doesn't get overused. Looks awkward when a clip only has 1 second of regular time then slowed down all in one clip (:38) or vice versa (:44).
  • 3/12 10:09 am - This is a good promo for a sport that probably doesn't get as much attention as others. I like how you chose to slow down many of the clips. There are good shots in this, but I think what's really missing is maybe some reaction shots from fans, players, coaches? I think it some of that variety was added in, this would be a really nice promo that would get folks excited about going to see some games.
  • 2/28 11:28 am - Hockey footage can be tough to film through the glass, nice job. It would be even better if the footage was white balanced or corrected in post. Not sure how well the song works with the video.
Judge 1

Positives: Camera - Good follows. Focus can be tricky with sports. Well-executed. Editing - Hockey footage and this music may be tough to reconcile, but the time ramping was used to great effect.

Improvements: Editing - Though the pace of the footage was well determined, the tempo of the cut was also kept slow. Missed opportunity to capture excitement. Even the switch from practice to game footage was behind the beat drop. Story - Not a lot of build or progression.

Improvements: Could have used some more exciting plays to show more emotion. Could have started the video with a description. I wasn't sure what it was for. Could have color corrected to warm up the video a little.
