Entry Description

This is a sequel to a Star Wars type short film we produced last year. In the original, the hero was able to defeat his opponent, but a new enemy has risen in this episode and has stolen the SD card with all of the empire's information. Our hero swoops to the rescue only to find that his friend is not who he thought he was.

• 3/5 1:13 pm - Cool use of effects for the holograms, but your audio for those holograms shouldn’t have sounded like a voice over; you should have put an effect on them to remove the low-end and make it sound more like it’s coming out of a speaker. Cool rotoscoping for the light sabers. You clearly spent a lot of time on all the effects, but the production is severely lacking in story and comedic value. Your sound overall is poor; dialogue levels are all over the map, some of them sound like they were recorded with microphones, others sound like you used the built-in microphone on the camera. Your sound effects, dialogue, and music bed levels also need to be mixed better. Dialogue should be between -6 and -12 on the VU meter, sound effects, should be between -15 and -21, and music beds DURING dialogue should be between -18 and -24. Worst of all, your lighting is completely insufficient for the majority of your movie. It almost looks like you didn’t bring in any lighting at all.
