- 3/11 8:22 pm - The idea that the two students are failing is obvious but I think that you make the point quickly and thenyou should move to the product then improving the performance...You do this with the volleyball...shots are a bit all overr the place... I do like the coaches on the sidelines and the volleyball spikes...the overall idea you have is good but this just needs to be tightened up to make a more cohesive message...live shot of bball game is cool as well
- 3/9 12:13 pm - Narrative was clear, but as a commercial could have appealed more to logic as well beside emotion. (Players are not good - get shoes - now they are good) maybe show them using the shoes to practice more effectively which in turn makes them better athletes. Sound was fine. Still could have use much more sound effects to help with tone of the piece (VO, shoes making noise, coaches yelling, etc). Cinematography needs work. Many shots are soft and out of focus. Camera movements seems to be done without the help of stabilization. Editing was fine. No major issues. Still I would work on the juxtapositioning of the characters in the editing to help better drive the narrative.
- 3/6 10:32 am - Strengths: -You do a nice job with telling the story visually. We see that these athletes are upsetting their coaches because of their poor performance. -Good close ups of the products. This is important for a commercial. we want to SEE the product. -I like the text at the end and the transition. Effective ending. Room for Improvement: -It would be nice to see some CU's of the athlete's faces so that we can see how upset they are with their performance -The camera appears to pan from side to side for some shots without a purpose. Plan your shots more effectively sot aht you are not simply trying to follow the action -I think you re-used the shot of the shoe twice--I would not reuse shots in a piece.
