  • 3/11 9:18 pm - message is very clear and I like the multiple interviews with the parents....the backdrops of the interviews could be a bit more exciting...nice b roll of activities...I agree with trying to keep mics out of the shots...as a parent i would want to send my kids there as the interviews were very authentic
  • 3/9 12:15 pm - This feels more like a news package than a commercial in its style of narrative and cinematic experience. Build the setting. Start with a WS of the building as the first establishing shot. Then, cut to the first shots of the doors opening up. That will seem more inviting. Try to keep mics out of the shots for a commercial and look for more aesthetically pleasing background (not a white wall). Camera style is very “journalistic” and fly on the wall style. With that, it lacks a clear artistic vision. Sound is fine, but work on mic placement. Editing highlights a diverse amount of offerings and I’m sure that the client would appreciate that.
  • 3/6 10:50 am - Strengths: -Music is effective and fits with the tone of the video -You have a good amount of b-roll so that we can SEE what kids do while at this program which is great! -Nice lower third and you have an interesting background for Cheri's interview which works well. -Good idea to put all important information and the logo at the end Room for Improvement: -much of the camerawork (aside from the main interview) is shaky. Make sure to bring a tripod with you -Many of the adults are being interviewed in front of a white brick background, can you find a background a little more interesting? We also have a low angle shot for most of these--make sure the camera is eye-level with the subject
