Learn from what you shot, what worked well and why? You spent too much time on the mural, there was not enough story to hold my interest. Not sure what the message was here. Too much time on a unknown character moving the faders of the mixing board. This did not add much to the video. Ultimately, you needed more ideas and thus more footage and locations to keep your viewer engaged.
3/2 4:56 pm - The music video had some creativity. That creativity, however, needs to all be used with a purpose. The colors change at the beginning, but we're not sure why. There's some effects and transitions used but we're not sure why. They're cool, but they have to serve a purpose, not just be cool. The video was a bit confusing- especially until the bull was really noticeable and we figured out it had something to do with the story. It may not have been established soon enough which caused a lot of confusion. The constant shots of the kid mixing, the random teacher dancing- we just got lost in what was going on. Be careful with lighting- there were some really dark shots- those shots may have been intended to look dark, but they still need to be lit to give the best shot possible. Make sure you're using a tripod- lots of shots were pretty shaky. There was no singer in this video- it could have added a lot to the video had there been someone actually singing in the music video. The big thing with your video is the story- it has to be clear enough to follow, and there's too many points where we're scratching our heads wondering what's going on. You have a good start- now just add some clarity, a singer, and some creative camera work and you'll be onto something!
