  • 4/24 5:50 pm - I liked the concept. Funny and well written. Great parody.
  • 4/20 11:39 am - Great idea! I thought you did a great job of editing your promo to match the look of The Bachelor. Cutting between the show footage and the green screen testimonials worked very well. There was good pacing and variety with your camera shots. The narration audio and testimonial audio had some echo and your overall mix could be balanced a bit. Overall, good job.
  • 3/8 7:24 pm - SOUND Good variety, a few of the locations had to much ambient noise / echo because it seemed like you were using the on camera mic. I thought your music choice was good – nothing that got in the way but kept driving the video in any silent spots. STORY Novel idea, I thought it was a good parody. You did a great job of cutting back and fourth between the host and the footage. The only footage that didn’t seem to fit was the last one where after seeing Bilal being sweet to the first two girls, Eileen was saying something negative and I didn’t see him be sweet with her as well. If you really want to make me wonder which of the three he would choose, make that last one as “sweet” as the first two. CAMERA/VISUALS good variety of shots close ups, cover, establishing and even subject placement. I never became visually bored. EDITING Great pace, I felt like the story was always moving forward and teasing me with wanting to see more. A few of the shots are just a hair fast (ie 29 seconds). I enjoyed it and found it drawing me in, which is what a commercial should do. Good job.
  • 3/8 10:25 am - I like your quick edits, but watch some of the shots. The opening shot of the school is not level and the handheld effects work when your shots are level. The shot with your host and following her; that is a nicely done! Watch your use of color value and light. Is it consistent? Is this what you want to communicate? Last, the audio is good, but we want to hear the contestants as well as the 'Bachelor.' There is an echo and it competes with other audio. Bring the voices up and the other audio down. Nice job, who won?

Positives: 1. Great editing, very comical. 2. Great music choice too, very appropriate for the content

Improvements: 1. The sound in the interviews could be better, it seems distant. 2. The storytelling was going well but the ending seemed abrupt

Positives: I was very entertained by this promo and would definitely tune in for more. Perfect choice of track to build interest in upcoming episodes. Nice writing with subtle comedic twists.

Improvements: Lighting could have been better. The edit ends slightly abruptly - which is sort of funny, but I'm not sure if it was intentional....

Positives: music choice felt right--felt like what the Bachelor might use. nice work on the green screen--keep dialing in your green screen lighting. Remember, your subject also needs to be lit appropriately as well as solid even lighting on the green screen cute concept--the storyline was fun to follow.

Improvements: audio capture was rough--sounded like on-camera mic? mixed color temps on various shots at the beginning--if you'd have cut the shots with beats of the music, it would have been amazing not sure what the logo/bug in the lower right is since you never introduced it--maybe coulda done that somehow in the opening sequence. ends abruptly--ran out of time?
