Sarkis is a breakfast and sandwich place in Evanston that has been opened since 1965. This commercial was made for our commercial unit in our tv broadcasting class.

- 4/20 11:57 am - I really enjoyed the different camera shots of food preparation and interiors of the restaurant throughout the video. You start with a couple great shots of the sign, but it would have been nice to see the exterior or the restaurant in its entirety. Finished product shots are good, but they are even better when customers are enjoying them! The background music was a little overpowering during the only spoken line in the commercial. Overall, it was a good commercial for the restaurant.
- 3/8 7:39 pm - SOUND Audio was a little hot when the person was talking STORY Not much of a story, not that there has to be talking, but I would have liked more of a theme other than just food prep. Don’t get me wrong I feel like they make some great food after looking at your footage, but I would have loved to see the end product – a customer enjoying that food and the experience. CAMERA/VISUALS Great shots incorporating the action of the subjects as the food was prepared. I would have liked more of an establishing shots both outside and inside of the restauraunt. I felt like a saw a bunch of pieces, but I never got it all put together. EDITING Pace was good, I don’t feel like you died on any one shot, It just came across as a bunch of snapshots of the restaurant rather than a progression of what I might expect as a customer.
- 3/8 10:34 am - I really like the shots of the food and parts of the building. It would have been nice to see some customers eating the food, enjoying the food, even the interaction at the counter. Last, bring the audio down so we can hear the first statement. Overall, nice job.
