Are the airspeeds really are they are made out to be.

4/19 11:30 am - I imagine this was meant to be a humorous take on the Apple AirPods commercial? The music was obviously fitting if you were trying to mimic that, and the sound cutting in and out each time the headphones fell out of his ears worked well. I wish you would have emphasized this a little more by showing several shots of them falling to floor in slow motion. It was hard to tell they fell out the first time. From 0.16-0.25 is confusing because he appears to switch locations. There is windows behind him and his feet and then it cuts to an upper body shot of him in the hallway. The camera work was good overall although I would have liked to see more variance in the locations during the dancing sequences. The editing was all around good and the choice to go from color to B&W depending on if the headphones were in played well.
3/11 4:01 pm - Your concept allows you to demonstrate the impact of this product through contrasts. You have the black and white musical world when the "Airspeeds" are in use, and you have the colorful noisy world when they are out. Even though the musical world is characterized in black and white, the viewer is led to believe this is the more desirable of the two worlds. After all, in this reality one can express him/herself freely through movement. When the "Airspeeds" are out, one experiences something very different. For this reason, I am confused by the last shot. Why does he throw down the "Airspeeds?" The product seems to be working quite well, so why does he show frustration at the end? Furthermore, how does discarding the product help sell the product?
Did you consider reversing the color values of the two worlds? Would the world with the "Airspeeds" in have been more effective with color? Also, you may have wanted to do more with lighting to emphasize the contrast you establish. By putting more light on the boy, you could make him stand out more from the background and give the shot a less dreary tone.
3/7 4:16 pm - SOUND Fine with the music and song seemed to work with what you are doing.
STORY Very confused by this, if you are trying to get me to buy these buds what you are doing is showing me that they don’t work real well, to the point that at the end you destroy the product in frustration – why would I want to buy them? Also wasn’t quite sure what it was a commercial for at first, Under Armor, Spotify, the Shoes (give me a close up to drive the point home), and if this is an apple product I should have seen I tunes not TMobile. I got the jist of it, but you had a lot of distractors in there. And speaking of distractors you had a handful of continuity errors with the hat. It was on, it was off, then back on. Just hard to ignore those types of things. Sorry to throw so much shade but I sense the story got in the way of your production and post production talent.
CAMERA/VISUALS Generally ok, but I would have liked a few more close ups so your audience knows what to focus on, the product, your face and the emotions you are feeling etc. To many wide cover shots.
EDITING Good pace, like I said earlier, I think the story got in the way and became a distractor to the rest of your piece.
