  • 3/11 9:48 pm - Audio pops occur frequently. For a lay audience- what is the Duke? Camera not level in some shots and some problematic white balance outside. Nice job pulling focus. Black Mirror sabotage, I see… Why does the aspect ratio narrow at the end? Because this is comedic, why wasn’t this entered into that category? Good shooting overall. The Duke does a good job with body language. More back story needed - why did he turn? Why did they want him to be scarier?
  • 3/11 7:57 am - The Duke Spooks 6 SOUND. Thought your use of music was spot on to set the mood and help tell the story, especially considering there was so little dialogue. STORY. The story was good, but maybe a little bit of the backstory, what would make a cheerful guy want to change and be something he is not. What is/was his motivation. I thought your Duke actor did an amazing job communicating his feelings with his body language, and great job in the production phase to catch all of that. CAMERA / VISUALS. Nice point of view/creative shots sprinkled throughout your video (1:24, 2:19, 240) EDITING. Nice opening title sequences I love the transfer to red and the running letters. Great pacing through the majority of your video. Inspite of genrally the same scaring scenes you managed to give it a fresh look with each scenario as the video unfolded. Nice sequences of bouncing between camera angels during conversations (ramp it up at 1:55ish)
  • 3/6 6:18 pm - STORY: Why is this in Dramatic Narrative? This is clearly meant to be a comedy. Like on the level of “Scary Movie”…which is a comedy/horror. This is not actual horror, nor would I say it’s drama. AUDIO: Be aware of your audio levels. As a rule of thumb, here’s your range: dialogue should be between -6 and -12 on the VU meter, sound effects, should be between -15 and -21, and music beds DURING dialogue should be between -18 and -24. There was a persistent hiss throughout most of the scenes, and then it would cut away during other scenes. Your music beds became distracting after a while - way too loud on a frequent basis.
