  • 4/26 12:31 pm - The trailer sets up an interesting story that creates a lot of questions for the viewer. Hopefully, those questions encourage the viewer to go see the film as apposed to passing on it. From a production standpoint, the practical effects worked. The timing with the door opening needs to remain constant throughout (the door continues to open, even after the kid looks down at his hands). The red eye effect should probably be softened and brought down to a safer broadcast color, as not assault the audience. Other than that, the camera work and editing was very strong. The rest of the issue with this trailer lies in the performances. They do not seem to match the serious tone of the lighting or music. There are several moment where the actors are in relatively tight shot and appear to be on the verge of cracking up, which legitimizes the goal of the piece.
  • 3/12 11:28 pm - Your trailer promotes an intriguing story with a defined conflict. You include snippets of scenes that tease the audience, and you avoid revealing too much about the story and how its central conflict is resolved. You chose an appropriate piece of music, but it does compete with some lines of dialogue. You may have wanted to rely on more than one piece of music to reflect the twist and turns of the narrative. Similarly, how might you have enhanced the viewer's sense of the story with sound effects? Don't underestimate the contributions a rich audio track can provide. Some text did not stay on the screen for a sufficient amount of time.
  • 3/9 1:30 pm - Cool idea. I think there needs to be some audio ni the very beginning
