RBTV's TalkNado brings A-list guests, local dignitaries, artists, musicians, and even some friendly critters from Brookfield Zoo to the great Studio B! On this special, a young group of activists delivers powerful arguments against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which threatens the water source of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. This edition of TalkNado was produced in collaboration with Mrs. Julie Chomko's sixth grade social studies class from Hauser Junior High School in Riverside. The submitted video is only an excerpt of a longer program.
Positives: Good use of video to cover parts of the interview. I liked that you split the questions, so both guests could talk. I liked the opening sequence. It was nice to see all the guests since they're not well known names that everyone would recognize.
Improvements: Make sure the host knows which camera he's on. He was facing the wrong camera during the tease. I would leave up the name banners even one second longer. They were gone before I could finish reading them. Since this was only a portion of the special, I'm hoping you information from the other side or asked the guests their response to those supporting the pipeline.
Positives: Production value is very good. Excellent camera work. Nice graphics help to illustrate what the guests are discussing. Well done. The guests appear to be well versed in the topic. They present the information very clearly. The host is personable and conducts himself in a very professional manner. He gives both guests an opportunity to speak. Very impressive students!
Improvements: The psychedelic graphics at the beginning of the show could be toned down. Sound in the studio is a little hollow...but overall the show is very well done.
