3/22 10:36 am - Pros - Very funny concept for your trailer. The trilogy can finally be completed! The music choices definitely help drive this trailer and set the lighthearted mood. The best storytelling sequence was the quick cuts dragging the dead kid inside and the 'prep' scene tying the shoes and taping the legs together. Cons - The trailer, overall, falls a little short in some key components. The audio is inconsistent. As you move through different sound spaces, be sure to either use the best mic for the space or create the sound in post. I'm mostly referencing the opening scene in the vestibule - this is an awful location to record sound, so consider ADR-ing those lines in post. The actors seemed to keep looking at the camera, which is distracting to the viewer and takes them out of the story. This is a group effort between the director, camera operator catch this, and the editor for making sure it doesn't end up in the final cut. I counted 4 instances in 74 seconds. Lastly, the setup of the story was great, but did not go much beyond that. Could have used more of the public interactions with people not in on knowing he's dead.
3/9 12:15 pm - Great job mixing audio with the video and changing the songs. The song choices really went well with the video and I think it brought the whole trailer together. Clever idea.
3/8 9:29 am - This was absolutely entertaining. I really enjoyed your consistent color value and light. The shots where you are taping your legs to 'Bernie' and you keep your actual audio - those were excellent. Nice job!
