  • 3/13 11:16 am - Smooth opening shot. Good energy from the actress. Smooth camera work overall. Lots of nice transitions. But too much walking around with no particular purpose. Lacked a story, the viewer is looking for a logical progression. If the character is going out for a night downtown have the evening progress logically and get better and better. (A walk in the park, then meeting a friend for coffee then a movie with more friends, etc.) Bring in other characters, so there are some relationships.
  • 3/7 1:39 pm - The video had some positive camera qualities- the camera movement was a plus, as it was very steady and smooth when it followed the girl. Color quality was good, and editing was consistent. The video lacked a true story, however. Though the shots were good, it was simply a video with a bunch of shots of a girl walking around the city. Needed to have some depth or a storyline to follow. Maybe the girl should have been singing to the song for a true music video vibe? Be careful shooting in the outdoors with the sun- there were a couple times we saw the camerman's shadow. Your parking garage scene used jump cuts- which was cool. But make sure the camera doesn't move! The only thing that should be moving in those shots is the girl, not the whole background. There was an instance or two the girl looked directly at the camera- decide if that is supposed to happen or not otherwise it looks like a mistake. You've got the camerawork down- now go after a story and you're set.
