3/9 11:23 am - Nice newscast. Anchor dressed well but chairs should be up a little higher. K. Corcoran- lighten up. You have a deep stare at the camera the entire time and seem kind of nervous. Take a deep breath, smile, and have fun, you seem like you'll do fine. Anchor audio higher than package audio. Some transitions have a few frames of black between. Parking segment- hold the mic in the hand closest to the person you are interviewing so you don't have to swing your arm all the way across and turn. Weather- glad to see someone doing weather. You should glance at your map and point at some key elements you are talking about . By just holding your hands in front of you and directly facing the camera the entire time you look weak. Interesting mix of packages.
3/8 10:37 pm - Quick intro right into the show. Good audio throughout. Some good camera work throughout. Anchors...make sure you're looking at the camera. Don't jump the "turn" from the 2-shot by having your eyes jump to the next camera before the take. Some good Broll in the parking package and a good read by talent. Look at the 2 shot with the young lady and talent on the couch. How could you get that sound without the talent reaching across his body to hold the mic? When you have interviewees, don't have them talk directly to the camera. Use rule of thirds when composing these shots...tighten up the composition a bit. Clean up transitions from anchors to packages and back. Weather...work on hand gestures and how to comfortably move in front of a green screen. Consider a closing with credits.
