- 4/24 5:44 pm - Audio was very well recorded and edited. Great variety of shots to communicate the hospital's upgrades/improvements.
- 4/20 9:05 am - The audio and composition of the interview work so well throughout the video. The slight camera movement every time we go back to the interviewee make it so much more pleasing to watch. The incorporation of drone shots with well thought out pans, tilts and rack focuses of the interior and exterior of the building are creative and professionally executed . The music is absolutely perfect. Very well edited and overall excellent piece.
- 3/12 12:45 am - Your commercial contains beautiful shots of this new facility. The video quality is excellent and some camera movements are quite graceful.
The hospital's spokesperson delivers his message well. Although he is well-prepared, he still is able to give the message an extemporaneous/authentic quality.
The hospital may have limited what you could shoot, but I wish your commercial could make this facility feel less sterile. The architecture looks sharp and the technology appears state of the art, but the piece lacks the "bed-side manner" implied in the narration. If you have seen ads for the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, you will notice how they do not let their modern facilities overshadow the human element found in the treatment centers.
Your commercial is very polished, but I am wondering what you gained by shooting portions of it without a tripod. Also, you chose an excellent location for hospital's spokesperson, and the tracking shot used for this "interview" works quite well. Perhaps a little more light on your subject would have been helpful given the bright background.
- 3/8 5:38 pm - SOUND Music is just right and does what it is supposed to do provide a mood, and fill in some of the blank spaces between the text. Levels don’t get in the way or overpower the speaker. Speaker had a great voice. Great choices.
STORY. Well written script, delivered in a calm, well timed way. I never felt like the speaker was rushed, which allowed him to speak in a more dramatic and convincing way. More importantly because it wasn’t rushed, it really gave time where necessary for your audience to process what is being said. Great job. You took what would generally be a boring topic and made it interesting.
CAMERA/VISUALS. Your visuals were great. Creative, diverse, I love how they were always moving which helped pull your audience in. Drone shots were well used and not overdone. B-Roll supported the text of the script well, the only exception to this was talking about patient support but sitting on the receptionist shot so long.
EDITING. Excellent pace the moving parts never got in the way of each other – meaning I never felt overloaded with that I was seeing and hearing it flowed back and forth between the two in a very balanced way. The soft focus, transitions, etc were done well. Very professional looking piece, great job.

Positives: 1. Great camera movement & awesome aerial shots
2. Good interview - start with the person and then move to VO storytelling, well done.
Improvements: 1. I would have liked to see more of a human element - more people shots.
2. I would have liked a more clear distinction that the first couple shots are the old building, maybe a bigger "reveal" of the new building.

Positives: Nice documentary feel, feels well filmed, recorded and edited. Nicely polished.
Improvements: I'm not sure what the objective of this piece is. General community good will, for a building that already exists?
Be clear about what you're asking the viewer to do. Initially I thought this was a fund raiser, but it seems the work is already done.
The description says it's the story of 10 years of planning, but that's also not clearly told in this edit.

Positives: nice to have interview setup to start and revisit it at the end.
some really nice camera work with depth of field changes
Audio capture of the voice was excellent--the final hit on the logo was well timed.
shots well composed. Loved the shot with the light leak!
I knew what it was about from the beginning...this had a very professional feel and I could see it hitting the air with a few tweaks
Improvements: using the same shot at :15 and :45 was less than ideal. In a piece this short, you shouldn't have to reuse a shot.
Ends rather abruptly and at :57 rather than :60...could've had a softer landing. Find the natural ending of the music and back-edit to end on time.
