  • 4/18 1:34 pm - The camera shots are composed very well. The writing was clear and thorough and the subject matter is unique and interesting. The lighting is consistent. A few things to work on-The slow shutter speed and/or slow motion of the video is distracting. The VO was recorded a little low which makes it hard to follow.
  • 3/12 11:19 am - Audio is a bit hard to understand. Fascinating topic! Nice variety of shots. Maybe show examples of the different patterns. You made some really nice eggs! The speed manipulation does not quite work here. The script was clear.

  • 3/9 6:06 pm - what works terrific concept and original topic; nice opening shot; good music mix with v/o; effective use of extreme close ups and movement; good use of transitions to jump time vs. overused fast motion; attractive artistic work. what could make it better voice over recording unclear and seemed poorly recorded; re-record stumbles in dialogue; list all materials needed for task.
  • 3/7 10:52 pm - This was a very good presentation with attractive visuals that were stunning at times. Great job with the production design and plating/presenting your final product. The use of white surfaces and doilies really contrasted well with the darkly-colored eggs. Lighting and shot variety was excellent and it showcased each step clearly and cleanly. Your voice over was delivered well and was well written. Work on your dialogue mixing. Even though your voice over was well written, it was very muddy in terms of its sonic quality. Work on adding enhancing tools such as equalization and compressor to clean up the vocal sounds and to give them more presence. Overall, it was very well done and I want to learn more about this process. You did have some extra time, and it may have been interesting for viewers to add a sentence or two of history about the process of Pisanki.

Positives: Clear camera work especially with close-ups. Well written script. Great topic very interesting.

Improvements: Narration recorded a bit "muffled" and hard to understand. Narrator spoke to quickly and didn't articulate fully.

Positives: Unique idea...hadn't heard of this before. Nice tight shots throughout to see what the designs looked like.

Improvements: Start with a wide shot of the finished product so viewers can see first what they will be making. Consider adding some text to help tell the steps.

Positives: Excellent work! You put as much care into making this video as you did making the eggs. The camera work is impressive. You took great care to show the entire process in a concise and interesting way. I appreciated the detail in creating the designs on the eggs. They were works of art in themselves.

Improvements: There aren't many things I would recommend changing. This is a little nitpicking; But the shot where you first see the onion shells, the camera is moving to introduce the shells. Consider extending that shot a little longer and do a cross dissolve to the next shot of the stationary pot. The ending seems a little rushed. Stay on the last two shots longer to let your audience enjoy the finished eggs.
