  • 3/13 10:39 am - Some appealing shots using reflections. You’re trying to tell an important story here, but it seem like you’re being shy about telling it. Commit to your story, let your viewer receive and interpret your message. Don’t spend so much time behind characters in your story. We want to get to know them. We have to see their faces in order to do that. You could use more shots. Make more of your urban setting. Avoid showing shaky zooms to your viewer.
  • 3/2 5:11 pm - You had some cool images of the city and backgrounds in the video- that was a strength. Technically, the video had some points that need work. Your length of shots was way too long- the music was fast paced and fast, but your shot lengths were really long. Those need to match up for good pacing. A tripod is recommended- lots of shaky shots in the video. One of the biggest issues was how every shot showed the backs of the actors heads. In this emotional type video, we need to see their faces, the emotion in their eyes- yet all we see if the backs of their heads. Use multiple camera angles to allow us to see that. The band shot at the beginning of the video was cool- and had a neat effect on it. But we never saw it again the rest of the video? Why not? Where did they go? The video did not have a singer in it- really could have added something had one of the girls been singing and showing emotion in the process of singing. Maybe the girl looking out the window- she could have been the singer and seeing her sing in that reflection type shot would have been cool. The story does not make much sense until we see them hold hands. The beginning is just a bunch of shots of people walking around, and it was getting frustrating wondering what was going on. Get your theme across early so that it can be explored more throughout the video to make a complete story. Tighten up your shots- avoid us seeing you zoom, and small little camera movements we were weren't intended to see. Keep working- there's potential!
