• 4/24 10:12 pm - Keepers: Good topic with good energy. The topic was well explained with text cards and I felt like I could make a flan after watching this segment. In the DIY world of youtube, this is important! Improvements: Work on your title cards. The cards needed to be on screen longer. Too often they were on too briefly for me to read them. The general rule is a title needs to be on screen as long as it takes for you to read it out loud. Be consistent with your grammar and punctuation. I don't mind the less formal grammar, but be consistent with capitalization. It looks more professional this way. In terms of production value, this piece really needed a camera with a tripod. I admire that the person cooking was clearly also holding the camera in some shots, but a tripod will keep your shots steadier and this will allow for better compositions. Additional lighting was also needed to improve the look of your shots and the end product.
