Entry Description

My submission to the 2018 MMEA film Festival. This cinematography is about the beauty of the cold, and chilling winter of Chicago and the city life.

  • 4/19 9:58 am - The lack of tripod and unsteadiness throughout was hard to track your composition and use of light which this category expects. When you steadied your shots it worked much better, but it still had a lot of loose movement so it's really hard for the viewer to stay engaged. Many of the shots were underexposed and didn't seem to adjust to the natural elements in which you were shooting. Keep working on adjusting your exposure settings appropriately.
  • 3/31 6:04 pm - Camera: -Your movements were a little shaky, so practice stabilizing your camera with a tripod and the making smooth pans and tilts. Lighting: -All natural lighting. Have some fun with lighting! Show off your understanding of lighting techniques. Editing: -Dips to blacks seem overdramatic and same with the music. I don't think they align with the tone presented in the images that we see.
