You need to incorporate more ideas into your video. You want to give your viewer something to follow, you want to take your viewer on a journey. Try to find a spot with better light for your portraits of the laughing girls. When you have action shots (girl in the bathroom, dancing girls) work in closer with your camera, give the viewer some close ups. It will add intensity and visual interest.
  • 3/6 12:53 pm - The idea behind the video's theme is a good one- everyone is beautiful. Good job getting a wide variety of people in the video (although looking back everyone is a female, there are no males). You have a theme, but you lack a story. There are hints of one- the girl going to the refrigerator, the girls in the dance class- but it stops quickly after those shots. Showing a lot of shots of different girls on the screen doesn't necessarily mean you have a strong theme or story. You need to be careful with color adjustment and lighting- the shots are very different- some very dark, some with good lighting- needs consistency. Not a lot of variety in your Camera angles- the dance scene for instance shows a long distant shot of the dancers and the backs of their heads. Include more shots to add variety. Some of your shots are really long too- try to stay consistent with the natural flow of the music- edit on the beats. That's where camera angles can help- like when the girl starts singing- there should be a change of angle after awhile, not the same shot the whole time. I wonder why the girl only sang for that little bit? It would have been nice to see her throughout the story singing (but make sure the lips are perfectly synced up!!). You've got the right idea- now incorporate a story to follow the theme to bring everything together.
