  • 3/11 11:30 am - This commercial contains strong imagery. Its shots are varied, colorful and enhance the message you are trying to convey. The statements made by the young girls are clear and concise, and the varied locations and compositions used to shoot these girls give their statements a more authentic feel. I really like this approach! I am concerned about the Trump reference eliminating any common ground you might have or had started to establish with some in your audience. Would a statement like this turn away some in your audience from your entire message, and would these be the people you want to appeal to most? What might you have done to strengthen your commercial's call to action? What do want your audience to do after watching this ad? Your message establishes a need - now what concrete thing can your audience do to satisfy that need?

  • 3/7 8:51 am - Music was perfect. It didn’t get in the way or distract from the talking. The talking was the dominant part of the piece. All the speaking audio was well done and clear without clutter from background noise. Camera shots were diverse, loved that the interviews took place on the train, that peeked my interest as to why and in an indirect way demonstrated the commitment of these people (not just words infront of a green screen) I guess what I am saying is that it added to the authenticity. Story, Love how the girls talking added to the emotional appeal, Loved how the two generations linked with a line about just that. Great transitions and flowed well. Well written. The only thing that turned me off was the girl talking about how she doesn’t like trump. I felt like it shifted the focus from the rights of women to an anti trump piece. It was a big distractor from an otherwise great piece. Editing was at a great pace, good mix of primary characters and supporting B Roll. Great Job
